Chief Executive Officer

Greg was appointed Orion’s Chief Executive Officer in January 2020 after serving as President and Chief Operating Officer from April 2019 and is a member of the company’s Board of Directors. He is responsible for the company’s vision, global strategy, and day-to-day operations. In this role, he leads the critical emergence of the company as a foremost global leader in the Push-to-Talk 2.0 and Voice Bots category within the Workstream Collaboration / Connected Workforce sector. His focus is on accelerating the company’s leading market position and global growth.

Greg is a veteran executive and entrepreneur in enterprise technology. He recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of global SaaS leaders HighQ (acquired by Thomson Reuters) Eka Solutions Inc., and notably served as the Executive Vice President of Triple Point Technology, the global leader for in-cloud commodities management software. At Triple Point, Greg drove the company’s record software industry-leading 5x revenue and earnings growth over seven consecutive high-growth years. He led the successful global expansion strategy, integrated eight acquisitions and grew the company to 16 global offices, 450 marquee corporate customers on six continents, over 900 employees as well as to seven consecutive INC 500 awards. In the summer of 2013, he and his two partners completed the successful sale of Triple Point to ION, in one of the largest enterprise software deals of the year.

Prior to Triple Point, Greg served as Executive Vice President for Netkey Technology, Inc. (acquired by NEC), iMediation Inc. (acquired by OpenText) and Vice President at Datalogix International (IPO, acquired by Oracle). He started his career in sales and management at IBM after graduating with a BA from Connecticut College.

Greg serves on the boards of Connor Industries Inc., Harris Freeman & Company Inc., and The Everest Leadership Academy (a not-for-profit entity in leadership mentoring for less-advantaged students with academic promise).

Alex McNamara, CTO at Orion

Alex McNamara is Chief Technology Officer and Chief Software Architect at Orion Labs. Alex drives Orion’s technical vision to deliver PTT 2.0 communications to the world’s largest organizations. He has been with Orion since 2019, and has been instrumental in scaling the Orion Platform from consumer to SMB and enterprise users.

Before Orion, Alex served as principal engineer at Outreach and saw that company through rapid growth from seed round to $10M++ ARR and a billion-dollar valuation. Previously, Alex worked as a lead engineer at Amazon, where he published over 20 patents on cutting-edge technology cited by Google, Microsoft, and others.

Vice President of Human Resources

Clara Brighton is Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, she focuses on creating a highly adaptive organization where people are encouraged to innovate and collaborate across teams, and where Orion employees have everything they need to perform their best, feel supported, and thrive. Clara is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including talent acquisition, leadership coaching, learning and development, engagement, total rewards, and building an inclusive, high-performance company culture.

Prior to Orion, Clara worked within Human Resources across multiple industries, managing employees across all 50 states and Canada. Clara is the chapter head for Culture Collective, Austin, TX chapter and an alum of the San Francisco State University HR Management Program.

Sayan Chatterjee

Vice President of Engineering

Sayan Chatterjee is Vice President of Engineering at Orion. He is responsible for Orion’s engineering velocity, roadmap delivery and leading the entire engineering team. Sayan is a committed, reliable, passionate people leader with an extensive background in building, scaling and leading globally distributed software engineering teams supporting products and operations. He is skilled in the development and implementation of highly scalable customer facing engineering products and has a proven track record for providing technical leadership across multiple cross-functional teams.

Prior to Orion, Sayan led engineering teams at OJO Labs, UCSF Health, Scripps Health and had individual contributor roles in Wells Fargo and Tata Consultancy Services (aka TCS). Sayan is also an Angel Investor and has invested in over 85 startups.

Orion Product Manager Ellen Juhlin

Senior Director of Product Management

Ellen Juhlin is Senior Director of Product Management at Orion. Ellen leads development for Orion SaaS solutions including platform services, automation and voice bots, hardware, firmware, iOS and Android mobile apps, and cloud-based solutions. Ellen defines Orion’s product roadmap and is responsible for growing Orion’s relationships with government customers.

Prior to Orion, Ellen held product development roles at Meyer Sound with a focus on digital audio platforms, used by major live entertainment companies including Disney and Cirque du Soleil.

Jensen Mort

Chief Commercial Officer

Mort Jensen is Chief Commercial Officer at Orion. In this cross-functional role, Mort owns both the strategy and execution of Orion’s commercial go-to-market model. With a focus on high-value revenue and long-term customer relationships and success, Mort is responsible for sales, channels, strategic partnerships, and customer operations.

A technology industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, prior to Orion, Mort was Head of Channels at Samsung SDS America, the enterprise software and solutions arm of the Samsung group. Prior to Samsung, Mort held sales and channel leadership positions with Egnyte (Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader), Meraki (acquired by Cisco), Good Technology (acquired by Motorola), and 4INFO (acquired by mBlox) among others.

Jesse Robbins

Founder, Advisor, and Board Member

Jesse Robbins is Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Orion Labs. Jesse served as Orion’s CEO from 2014 to 2020. Jesse serves on the board of Heavybit, the program that helps developer and infrastructure tools startups succeed.

Prior to Orion, Jesse was founder & CEO of Chef, the leader in cloud automation, used by thousands of companies like Amazon, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft. He also founded the Velocity Web Performance & Operations Conference and edited the Web Operations book. He is credited as a creator of the DevOps movement. Prior to founding Chef, Robbins served as Amazon’s “Master of Disaster” where he was responsible for Website Availability for every property bearing the Amazon brand.

Jesse is a volunteer Firefighter/EMT and Emergency Manager.

Greg Albrecht co-founded Orion Labs in 2013 and served as its Chief Technology Officer until 2022.

Prior to Orion Labs, Mr. Albrecht helped lead a development team at Splunk, where he was heavily involved in building the company’s second major product, Splunk Storm. In addition to his technical expertise, he is also an active EMT and a startup veteran with an extensive background in technology infrastructure and software development.

Michael Schwartz, Chief Marketing Officer for Orion Labs

Michael Schwartz was Chief Marketing Officer of Orion Labs before becoming one of Orion’s Advisors. Michael advises Orion on all global marketing functions including strategy, product positioning and messaging, digital, press and analyst relations, communications, and events. He is a frequent contributor to leading risk management, supply chain, energy, and manufacturing publications.

Michael has over 20 years of CMO experience. He previously served as CMO at six B2B enterprise software companies, including ION Commodities, Allegro Development, Eka Software Solutions, Triple Point Technology, and Information Builders. His experience spans a broad range of companies from early-stage startups to billion-dollar companies, with expertise in building B2B marketing programs from the ground up.
